Disney Dreamlight Valley offers players a variety of magical friendship quests, but few are as iconic as Mickey Mouse's level ten storyline. Completing this quest unlocks a hidden sanctuary inside the Dream Castle filled with unique rewards and extra treasure chests. Starting The Secret Door Quest
To begin the quest line, players must reach friendship level ten with Mickey Mouse and complete his prerequisite tasks. Mickey will give you a special chest in your inventory that turns into a memory photo when used. Examining this memory reveals a mysterious door hidden behind a purple curtain, kicking off the search across the valley.
After viewing the memory, speak to Mickey to hear his riddle regarding towers and hidden entrances. He prompts you to investigate a prominent structure in the village that features grand architecture. This points directly toward the Dream Castle located at the northern end of the Plaza.
Finding the Hidden Entrance in Dream Castle
Head inside the Dream Castle and look toward the right side of the main staircase. Instead of going up the stairs, walk past the potted plants toward the back wall where a large purple curtain hangs. Interacting with this curtain reveals the secret door depicted in Mickey's memory.
Once you expose the door, speak with Mickey again to receive the next part of the puzzle. The door features four empty slots that require specific gemstones to unlock. A fifth slot is already filled, serving as a hint for the remaining items needed.
Gathering the Required Gemstones
Opening the door requires four regular gemstones found by mining rock spots across different biomes. You will need one Garnet from the Plaza or Peaceful Meadow, and one Citrine from the Sunlit Plateau or Glade of Trust. Additionally, you must collect one Aquamarine from Dazzle Beach or Forest of Valor, and one Tourmaline from Sunlit Plateau or Frosted Heights.
It is important to note that shiny versions of these gems will not work for this quest line. Players should store any shiny gems for trading or crafting and focus purely on standard drops. Bringing along a village companion with the mining role can help speed up the gathering process.
Unlocking Mickey's Secret Room and Extra Rewards
Return to the Dream Castle door once you have gathered all four required gemstones in your inventory. Interact with the door and place the gems into their respective slots to trigger the opening sequence. Step inside to speak with Mickey, complete the quest, and claim the Enchanting Fountain reward.
Before leaving the secret room, make sure to thoroughly explore the surrounding space for bonus loot. Interacting with the nearby bookshelf reveals a Conspicuous Book that opens a secondary hidden area. Inside these extra chests, players can gather valuable crafting materials, seeds, and rare gems.
